After nursing a rather serious injury against England at Old Trafford a couple of months back, Rishabh Pant is all set for a comeback in whites as he has been chosen to lead India A against South Africa for two unofficial test matches from October 30 to November 9.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India have announced two different squads for the two matches, but neither features Sarfaraz Khan. Sai Sudharsan has been named the vice-captain of the squad. Devdutt Padikal, Sai Sudarshan and N Jagadeesan are part of the squad as the series clashes with the ongoing limited overs series against Australia. 18 year old Ayush Mhatre, who has been in good LOI form since the IPL has earned a call up as well.

The second test will see KL Rahul, Mohammad Siraj and Dhruv Jurel, all who will feature in the test series. Akash Deep who was instrumental in Bengal’s victory in their opening game in the ranji trophy, has also been picked in the side as he looks to make a comeback for the test series against South Africa in mid November.

The two matches will be played at the Centre of the Excellence in Bengaluru while the tour of South Africa will commence from November 14 in Kolkata.
