India vs South Africa T20 series review : SKY and co round off the year emphatically.

Another series win. Another all round performance. A majority of boxes ticked, many more to go. As India wrapped up another series win on Friday in Ahmedabad, a whole lot of doubts were answered, but also a selection headache beckoned ahead of the all important T20 World cup at home.

Sanju Samson played a good cameo in the last game, Abhishek gave the team flying starts, Dube came to the party when needed and Jitesh Sharma and Axar Patel chipped in as well and ensured that South Africa never got ahead in any of the games. 

And last but definitely not the least, the Harshit- Hardik combo. Yes Bumrah, Arshdeep, Kuldeep and Varun Chakravarthy were potent enough but Harshit Rana, in that game in Dharamshala and Hardik Pandya in all the games were the cutting edge in the series that India needed ahead of the tournament in February- March. 

Surya Kumar Yadav’s form has been disappointing. Gill has been wayward and Tilak cannot bat anywhere apart from number 3. A well oiled Indian side, led by a competent captain is on its way to defend their title. A New Zealand dress rehersal does await, but this Indian T20 set up is more than ready to do so.
